Priorities

01

Public safety you can count on

Every neighborhood should get the same fast response when you call 911. Today, parts of northeast Edina wait far longer for fire and EMS than the rest of the city.

  • Close the response-time gap in northeast Edina, with an 8-minute response time as the goal.
  • Build Station 3 to a published, fixed budget before a single dollar is approved.
  • Keep police and fire fully staffed, trained, and equipped, and listen to the people doing the work.

02

Every dollar works for residents

Thirty years in finance taught me to separate needs from wants. Snowplows, streets, parks, water, and public safety come first.

  • Hold the city levy increase at or below inflation, about 3%.
  • Review every consultant contract and non-essential program line by line.
  • Full transparency on how the city spends your money.

03

Open books

You shouldn't need a finance degree to see where your money goes.

  • Publish a plain-English budget summary every year.
  • Put city spending online in a format residents can actually search.
  • Answer resident questions directly. The Tell Jason line stays open after Election Day.

About Jason

I've lived in Edina for 30 years and spent 30 years in finance, including work as an auditor and a long career at Target. Today I work at Pediatric Home Service, which helps medically complex children get care at home.

For the past two summers, I've volunteered for a week as a counselor at a Muscular Dystrophy camp. Those kids are the most optimistic people I know, and they're a big reason I'm running. I want to bring a practical, accountable voice to City Hall and help keep Edina a place families can afford to stay.

Home for me is the Countryside neighborhood.
